About Brad Heilman

Brad Heilman has been providing personalized and timely counsel to the people of Austin since 2011. Previously, Brad served as an auditor in the Texas Department of Criminal Justice, as a Senior Police Officer in Austin Police Department and served as a US Army Bradley Fighting Vehicle commander for 6 years. Brad is a 2011 graduate of Baylor Law School.

Brad Heilman can be found in his office (while most people are still sleeping) working to protect his client’s rights. But his job doesn’t stop there — he strives to keep you informed about the details of your case as they evolve. His attention to detail, strong courtroom experience and commitment to justice are just some of the reasons so many people trust Brad Heilman to guide their legal journey.

After growing up in Oklahoma and living in foster homes, Brad enlisted in the United States Army in 1993 where he learned to jump from a perfectly good airplane and rose to the rank of Staff Sergeant. After deploying to three combat zones and leaving the Army in 2000 from Fort Hood, Brad became a patrol and DWI Enforcement officer for the Austin Police Department. While patrolling on day shift in the Rundberg area, Brad attended Concordia University at night and obtained his Bachelors of Arts in Criminal Justice Management.

While serving as a police officer, Brad witnessed injustices for both citizens and police officers and swore to go to law school and devote the rest of his life to defending those in need. Brad graduated from Baylor Law School in twenty-six months and has continued to maintain the same work-ethic and dedication instilled in him while serving his country and city. Client satisfaction is his number one priority.
